The PacMAN project envisions to develop a monitoring program for invasive species that can provide an early warning system for invasive species in the Pacific Island states. eDNA analyses can be used to rapidly detect and discover the presence of unwanted organisms. After an initial survey to build a DNA-database, the project aims to follow species assemblages on incoming vessels as well as on monitoring platforms (ARMS protocol) in harbors.
